How We Review APKs

Every APK on this site is installed and tested on our own Android phones before it is published. We do not republish store descriptions, and we do not list apps we have not personally run.

1

Source verification

We download the APK and verify its package name and developer signature against the official release before anything else. If the signature does not match, the file is rejected and never reaches the site.

2

Security scan

Every APK is scanned for malware before installation. A file that fails the scan is not published, period.

3

Real-device testing

We install the APK on our own Android phones and use it like a normal user would: installation, first launch, permission prompts, core features, stability, and battery behaviour, including on mid-range hardware, because that is what most of our readers use.

4

Version verification

The version number, file size, and package details shown on our download pages are read from the actual file, not copied from another site. Updates go through the same install-and-test cycle.

5

Guides written from testing

Our install steps and troubleshooting sections are written from the problems we actually hit during testing, such as parsing errors and app-not-installed cases.

Our test phones

Our current test fleet covers flagship, mid-range, and older hardware across several Android versions:

  • Samsung Galaxy A55 (Android 15)
  • Google Pixel 8 (Android 16)
  • Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro (Android 14)
  • Infinix Note 40 Pro (Android 14)
  • Samsung Galaxy A13 (Android 12)

Every review is handled by our lead reviewer, Mei Chen. Nothing reaches the download button without passing through her checks first.
